Since 2013, hardcore cigar enthusiasts have come to expect a new super-premium Don Pepin Garcia (DPG) smoking experience from My Father Cigars on a five-year rotation. Such releases are made in celebration of special anniversaries for the DPG brand (the Garcías' first acclaimed cigar), which debuted in 2003.

Right on cue, My Father introduced the Don Pepin Garcia 20th Anniversary Limited Edition cigar in the summer of 2023, being specially made to commemorate the milestone 20th anniversary. As expected, the García family have spared no expense, using some of their most prized tobaccos in order to deliver a special experience of the highest caliber. This includes a Habano 2000 wrapper from Nicaragua, being secured over a Nicaraguan binder and all-Nicaraguan fillers, including the highly sought-after Pelo de Oro seed varietal. The latter tobacco's name translates to Hair of Gold, being a finicky leaf that is difficult to grow yet produces tremendous flavor when done successfully.

The Don Pepin Garcia 20th Anniversary Limited Edition cigar was rolled in a single 6½" x 52 toro size, being limited to 5,000 boxes of 20 cigars worldwide. The project is among the finest from My Father Cigars to date, offering unrivaled complexities of fresh-cut oak, Don Pepin's signature pepper spice, subtly tangy sourdough bread, and brown sugar sweetness through the finish.
